Clubs searching for their first win at the MLS is Back tournament battle Monday when Inter Miami takes on New York City FC in Orlando.

Pointless after two matches at the competition, both sides are likely making their final appearance at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex and want to leave the bubble on a positive note.

Inter Miami comes into the showdown off back-to-back 2-1 losses against Orlando City and Philadelphia in group play. The club, which is in its first season in Major League Soccer, showed some promise at times in those defeats and has played better than expected in my opinion.

Standout Rodolfo Pizarro has been the team catalyst thus far and should shine against a New York City FC side that has struggled mightily all over the pitch.

Speaking of NYCFC, things could not be any worse for the Eastern Conference power. Labeled as one of the tournament favorites by many pundits when the groups were announced, NYCFC has been dismal and simply looks like a shell of the club it has been in the league the past few seasons. The franchise opened its tournament with a 1-0 loss against Philadelphia before being dealt a 3-1 setback against underdog Orlando City.

With little to play for other than pride at this point, I fully expect both sides to get after it and chase all three points. That said, I am backing both teams to score in what I believe is going to be another back-and-forth affair that has become commonplace at this tournament.

If you are looking for a side, sprinkle a little on Inter Miami to cover the spread. The Florida outfit has been better than NYCFC at this competition and is worth a play.
