Welcome to the circus!

Tottenham always finds a way to get in trouble, but this season, they seem to have taken things to a different level.

We're talking about a club that sacked Thomas Frank on February 11 after a loss to Newcastle, is sitting 16th in the Premier League, flirting with relegation, somehow managed to beat Atletico de Madrid, and still got eliminated from the Champions League. Additionally, there have been dressing room tensions and visible cracks between players and staff.

There's certainly a lot going on, which begs the question, who wants to lead this team?

Kalshi, a prediction market that's available in most states, has a market available for traders to predict Tottenham's next manager. Kalshi also offers a variety of other unique markets, and if you want to get in on the action yourself, use our Kalshi promo code to get started.

Who Will Be Tottenham's Next Manager?

Mauricio Pochettino

Kalshi has Mauricio Pochettino listed first as the market is reflecting what everyone already knows. This is the guy Spurs want.

Pochettino knows the club; he was the architect of their last serious project, took them to a Champions League Final, and, for a lot of fans, is a reminder of the last time Tottenham truly felt like a competitive team.

Oh, I almost forgot to mention, he's said he's "open to everything" after the World Cup.

Right now, Tottenham is selling a recovery job, and Pochettino may be up for the challenge. He is one of the few who knows how to handle chaos and wouldn't need that much time to figure out what is broken.

However, there's a catch.

He's currently managing the USA national team and is locked into the 2026 World Cup, meaning Tottenham would have to wait.

🚨🚨🎙️| Pochettino responds to rumors linking him to Tottenham Hotspur:

"When things aren’t going well, people tend to rely on emotions and say, ‘Well, with Mauricio we played good football,’ or whatever.

But no. We’re focused on the World Cup , in the United States. My… pic.twitter.com/pnJ2YbHiL9

So, what are the next steps? If Spurs survive this mess, they'll ride it out with an interim (perhaps Igor Tudor will stay in the job until the end of the season), then they'll bring Pochettino back once the World Cup is over. It’s not immediate, and it is not clean. In fact, it's a bit messy, but it's the closest thing Tottenham has to a plan.

Which, given everything else, is probably why he's leading the market.

Roberto de Zerbi

This is where things get interesting. Tottenham is desperate, and Roberto de Zerbi, the Italian manager, could be an immediate solution.

Spurs have been heavily linked with him, and he's coming off a stint at Marseille, previously built a strong identity at Brighton, and is the kind of coach who can quickly impose a style.

Reports say De Zerbi doesn't plan to take a job before the summer, even with Tottenham's interest. So Tottenham is left with a weird dynamic in which Spurs want urgency, and De Zerbi wants patience.

🚨 Tottenham Hotspur have held talks with former Marseille boss Roberto de Zerbi about a summer appointment.

It's highly likely that he'll only consider taking the Spurs job if they stay in the Premier League.

Tottenham's Next Manager: Market Analysis

At the end of the day, this market is actually more about timing because ultimately everything depends on one simple thing:

Will Tottenham stay in the Premier League?

  • If Tottenham stays up, it can afford to wait, and Pochettino makes sense.
  • If things get worse, Tottenham might panic, and De Zerbi will become more relevant.
  • If everything collapses, oh boy … the entire plan will change.

What is Kalshi?

Different than a traditional sportsbook and available in most states, Kalshi allows users to make predictions across several unique markets, including sports, entertainment, elections and even weather.

Also, Kalshi’s refer-a-friend program is a "win-win" for prediction market traders. By inviting a friend to the platform, both you and your friend receive a $25 credit once they meet the initial trading requirements.

Kalshi operates on a contract-based system where users buy "contracts" (priced between 1–99 cents) based on whether they believe a specific event will happen. The price of each contract fluctuates in real time based on market sentiment, and like the stock market, traders can sell positions early to lock in profits (or minimize losses).
