The Roland Garros first round concludes in Paris on Tuesday, and there are plenty of matchups to like from a betting perspective, especially on the women's side.
Let's look at a pair of Roland Garros women's matches below.
Here are my WTA picks, previews and French Open predictions for Coco Gauff vs Olivia Gadecki and Mirra Andreeva vs Cristina Bucsa.

The 2022 French Open finalist and World No. 2, Gauff enters the tournament with the third-best odds, trailing only Aryna Sabalenka and four-time winner Iga Swiatek, a position that matches her clay EloRatings ranking.
Her favoritism comes on the heels of a great clay season. She made two finals in a row in Madrid and Rome, where she lost the title match against Sabalenka and Jasmine Paolini, respectively, but beat players like Swiatek, Andreeva, Belinda Bencic and Qinwen Zheng along the way.
Despite not being her favorite surface, Gauff uses her powerful serve to better position herself on the court and strike winners. With 104 aces in 33 matches this year, she can also earn points quicker on any ground.
As a second seed at this French Open, the 22-year-old American will have the option to avoid Sabalenka and go far, building on her improvements here after reaching the semis last year, two quarterfinals (2021, 2023) and the 2022 final.
The 23-year-old Gadecki will make her debut at Roland Garros, completing her own Grand Slam in appearances. Ranked No. 91, she has a 6-15 record this year and hasn't done well on clay recently. She merely collected a victory at the Saint-Malo WTA 125, plus an ITF semifinal in Zaragoza.
This will be the first time they meet, and it should be an easy win for Gauff.
Pick: Gauff -7.5 | Under 17.5 (+118 via DraftKings)
Andreeva vs Bucsa Odds, Preview, Pick
Mirra Andreeva Odds | -1400 |
Cristina Bucsa Odds | +700 |
Over/Under | 17.5 (-125o / +110u) |

At 18 years old, the promising Andreeva is already being placed among the candidates to win the French Open, ranking fourth in odds behind Gauff.
She already won two singles titles this year, both on hard courts. The first one was in Dubai, where she beat Swiatek and Elena Rybakina.
Then she had her most impressive showing in Indian Wells, taking on a true WTA murderers' row: Rybakina, Elina Svitolina, Swiatek and Sabalenka in the last four matches en route to the trophy.
Her favorite surface is clay, on which she also has performed well this season while finding a new enemy in her path: Gauff. The American beat her in the quarterfinals twice, first in Madrid and then in Rome.
Last year, at the French Open, the Russian reached the semifinals. Two months later, on these same courts, Andreeva won the silver medal in doubles at the Olympics.
Bucsa will face her for the first time. The 27-year-old Spaniard could be typecasted as a doubles player since most of her success has come in that category, with six titles (only one in singles).
This clay season didn't do much for her career, as she barely won one match in Bogota (WTA 250) and one qualifying round in Madrid. In Madrid, she had the chance to enter the main draw by replacing another Spaniard, the injured Paula Badosa, but Bucsa lost her match against Veronika Kudermetova.
If Andreeva is to make noise in Paris again, she'll win this one swiftly.
Pick: Under 17.5 (-105 via DraftKings)
