Tiafoe enters Tuesday’s contest in phenomenal form, as he just dispatched of 2021 US Open winner Daniil Medvedev in straight sets.

After a five-setter in the first round versus fellow American Martin Damm, Big Foe has rolled through his last nine sets in flawless fashion and looks to advance to his third semifinal in New York.

While Tiafoe boasts a huge first serve with a massive power forehand, Michelsen breaks the traditional mold of a tall big server by relying heavily on precision, a world-class backhand and an impressive tennis IQ.

The 22-year-old American will need to play to his strengths (which are quite unique) if he's able to pull off the upset against the red-hot Tiafoe.

Michelsen often favors drilling a flat backhand crosscourt to pull opponents wide, followed by his signature horizontal forehand that he rips down the opposite line.

In what many classify as a complete contrast of styles, Tiafoe has actually relied heavily on his finesse game over the first few rounds in New York. He's implemented a phenomenal drop shot into his repertoire, and his versatility has frustrated all of his opponents thus far.

The two American foes have met just twice previously with “Big Foe” having prevailed in straight sets in both matches.

Despite how impressive Michelsen has been up to this point, I expect Tiafoe’s experience, versatility and overall athleticism to be the difference maker.

I feel confident backing Big Foe on his -155 moneyline, and I'm willing to take a value shot on Tiafoe to win in four sets at a stellar +320 price tag.

Pick: Frances Tiafoe ML -156 | Tiafoe to Win 3-1 (+320)

Shelton vs Alcaraz Odds

Ben Shelton Odds+317
Carlos Alcaraz Odds-421
SpreadShelton +3.5 (-135), Alcaraz -3.5 (-110)
Over/Under37.5 (-135o / -110u)

Shelton is in great form right now. He won the Montreal 1000 tournament without dropping a single set, and he's been playing better and better in New York.

At the start of the competition, he had some issues with Tallon Griekspoor and Hubert Hurkacz, but that was difficult competition early in the draw. Ultimately, his fourth-round match with Stefanos Tsitsipas showed us why he's one of the favorites for the title.

Obviously, Alcaraz is the heavy favorite in this match, but Shelton has the stadium on his side and he's in shape and very motivated.

Alcaraz returned to the tour after a five-month break due to an injury, and he's impressed everyone by the fact that he didn't need time to adjust.

His fourth-round match with Tommy Paul was his best of the tournament, as he was exceptional from the baseline, especially with his forehand. He started to serve even better, showing stability with his second serve.

I expect the match to be a long one and have at least four sets. Thus, I'll take Ben Shelton to win a set at -215 at DraftKings. The juice is a bit heavy, so you could parlay it with something else if your book allows.

Pick: Ben Shelton to Win a Set — 'Yes' (-215, DraftKings)
