Madison Keys, the reigning Australian Open champion, debuts at Roland Garros against Daria Saville, a well-known opponent. However, their history might not do much for them regarding this match, if only to share memories.
Their head-to-head record is tied at one win apiece, both matches on clay, but it was a while ago since they met. Keys won in straight sets in a 2016 Fed Cup match, and Saville responded with a three-set win in Rome in 2017.
The American, WTA's No.8, is a great server and much better on hard surfaces, so it's understandable she has not been able to replicate her early-year success when she won the WTA 500 Adelaide and the Australian Open.
Keys has had subpar results in clay tournaments this season. She lost her third-round matches in Charleston and Rome, and her best performance was a quarterfinals appearance in Madrid.
Saville, who has fallen to 137 in the WTA rankings, only won once in three clay tournaments in 2025, and made the main draw in Paris through the qualifying rounds.
Pick: Madison Keys -6.5 Spread (-109 via BetRivers)
Swiatek vs Sramkova Odds
Rebecca Sramkova Odds | +900 |
Iga Swiatek Odds | -2500 |
Over/Under | 17.5 (-105/-135) |

No disrespect to Rebecca Sramkova, but this is all about the four-time French Open winner, Iga Swiatek, and her current form.
This year has been a roller-coaster ride for Iga, especially on clay, where she used to rule with an iron fist. The Pole enters Roland Garros without winning a single title on this surface in 2025, something very odd for her. She only reached the quarterfinals in Stuttgart, semifinals in Madrid, and third round in Rome.
The five-time Grand Slam winner and former World No. 1, now ranked fifth, expressed her frustration and analyzed her recent performances for possible corrections. Maybe all she needs is to trust her incredible 35-2 record at Roland Garros and focus on the next rival.
After all, Swiatek has never been an "arsenal" player with signature strokes or moves, just an excellent strategist who is usually the one frustrating the opponent.
The Slovakian Sramkova (42) only managed to win two matches in three clay tournaments before Paris.
Swiatek might aspire to become the first woman to win four straight Roland Garros, but right now, she just needs to find her rhythm again.
Even so, she should win this swiftly.
Pick: Under 17.5 (-135 via BetMGM)
