Wimbledon first-round action continues at the All England Club on Tuesday, July 1, and there are plenty of matches to like from a betting perspective. Let's look at a pair of Wimbledon matches below.
Here are my Round 1 previews and Day 2 Wimbledon predictions for Francisco Comesana vs Corentin Moutet and Gael Monfils vs Ugo Humbert.
Wimbledon Predictions — First Round (Day 2)
Francisco Comesana vs Corentin Moutet Odds
Francisco Comesana Odds | +180 |
Corentin Moutet Odds | -240 |

It hasn't been the greatest grass season for Comesana.
The Argentine dropped out quickly out of Eastbourne, a tight loss to American Jenson Brooksby being his only performance on the surface so far.
It contrasts greatly with Moutet, who's fresh off a Mallorca final appearance, and also shocked third-seed Taylor Fritz in Queen's the week before.
So … why are we going with the other guy?
Well, Comesana has quite the knack for an upset. He beat world No. 2 Alexander Zverev at the Rio Open this season and pulled back-to-back top-20 takedowns in 2024, beating 17th-ranked Ugo Humbert at the US Open and then-world No. 6 Andrey Rublev at Wimbledon. The All England Club's grass suits him, as he went on to reach the third round that year.
Add Moutet's irregular shot-making and Comesana's die-hard attitude, and the elements are set for another shot by the Mar del Plata man.
Pick: Francisco Comesana Moneyline (+180 via DraftKings)
Gael Monfils vs Ugo Humbert Odds
Gael Monfils Odds | +185 |
Ugo Humbert Odds | -250 |
Over/Under | 40.5 (-120o / -110u) |

Another player who's had an up-and-down Wimbledon preparation is Ugo Humbert.
The former world No. 13 reached the semis at 's-Hertogenbosch and Eastbourne, but crashed out of Halle in the first round. Regardless of the result, the one consistent factor has been long matches. One of the top servers in the tour, breaking Humbert on a fast surface like grass is never easy.
The quick play and short points at the All England Club will also favor Monfils.
At 38, La Monf is inching ever closer to the end of his career. While he's shown he can still mix it with the best — see his four-set thriller with Jack Draper at the French Open — long, hard-fought rallies are becoming more difficult for him.
Still, Monfils remains a strong server and a complete player, so he'll fight Humbert tooth and nail, with a five-setter very much on the cards.
Even if it doesn't come to that, a couple of tiebreaks are sure to help the match clear this line.
Pick: Over 40.5 (-120 via DraftKings)
