Thursday's NFL Kickoff game between the Dallas Cowboys and Philadelphia Eagles ended up being a tighter affair than many expected. With the defending champion Eagles laying 8.5 points, the Cowboys hung with them blow-for-blow in a high-scoring first half.
The second half, however, saw a lengthy lightning delay and just three total points scored, leading to a 24-20 final, giving the Eagles the win and the Cowboys the cover. The total went under 47.5, which shocked many, considering 41 points were scored in the first half.
