In the ALCS, Cleveland’s Game 1 victory in St. Petersburg has turned Game 2 into a critical rebound spot where traders favor a home statement win from Tampa Bay. Meanwhile, in the NLCS, Milwaukee holds a commanding 2-0 series lead as action shifts to California. Yet on Kalshi traders price Los Angeles as heavy Game 3 favorites, reflecting strong confidence in the home team’s high-caliber roster to stay alive.

MLB Playoff Picks Today

Let’s break down these games to find the best MLB postseason trades to grab right now.

Game 2: Cleveland vs. Tampa Bay Picks

The Cleveland Guardians enter Game 2 with immense momentum after stealing the series opener 7-3 at Tropicana Field. Their bullpen remains their primary defensive weapon, consistently locking down late innings and limiting opponent damage throughout the postseason. On the other hand, Tampa Bay Rays face heavy pressure at home as they attempt to avoid traveling to Ohio facing a 0-2 series.

Despite dropping Game 1, Tampa Bay’s lineup generated solid contact. Tonight they expect to be more effective against Cleveland’s starting rotation to regain control of the series. There is hype surrounding a potential comeback, that is precisely why they appear as favorites on Kalshi with 55% implied odds to win. Those numbers come as a total surprise to me given how well Cleveland has performed in its recent games.

Statistically, Cleveland has featured one of October's most formidable offenses. The Guardians rank second overall behind only the Brewers with a 104 wRC+, while leading all Division Series teams in slugging with a .150 Isolated Power.

The lineup's efficiency, combined with a dominant bullpen that continues to seal late-game victories, gives Cleveland the edge. My favorite position for this game is a Guardians victory, which becomes even more attractive considering their Yes shares are selling for just 45 cents.

Another stat that speaks volumes about where both teams stand right now is that Cleveland has yet to lose on the road in the postseason after three away games. I don't see that trend ending tonight. While Tampa Bay showed positive signs, they lack the structural consistency required to hold off an offense that is head and shoulders ahead.

Alongside the moneyline, targeting Cleveland at -2.5 on the spread and the Over on 6.5 total runs scored looks like an intriguing angle.

Game 3: Milwaukee vs. Los Angeles Picks

The Milwaukee Brewers travel to California in total control after defending home turf at American Family Field with back-to-back victories (2-1 and 7-4) to take a 2-0 series lead.

Despite trailing in the series, Kalshi traders price the Los Angeles Dodgers as absolute home favorites for Game 3, holding roughly 62% implied odds. Unlike the matchup between Cleveland and Tampa Bay, I believe the moneyline is spot on here, and backing a Dodgers comeback on their home turf is the best choice.

So far, Milwaukee’s offense has thrived on timely hitting from William Contreras and Brice Turang. Meanwhile, the Los Angeles Dodgers return to Dodger Stadium in a must-win situation, burdened by cold spells from stars like Shohei Ohtani and Will Smith with runners in scoring position.

With the Dodgers batting under .180 with RISP so far in the NLCS, their ability to break through against Milwaukee’s early-game pitching will determine whether Los Angeles can validate their heavy Game 3 favorite status on the moneyline or fall into an insurmountable 0-3 hole.

When it comes to player props, one of the most attractive options is backing William Contreras to cover Over 1.5 Total Bases at 36 cents a share. If we stick to the thesis that the Dodgers will come out victorious, we can project a solid performance from Ohtani, meaning backing him to cover 2+ combined Hits + Runs + RBIs sounds like a great choice.
