Reds vs Royals Prediction, Betting Analysis
Against the Royals, Brady Singer is something like an anti-revenge game given how much both he and Jonathan India have struggled since they were swapped for one another in an offseason trade between Kansas City and Cincinnati.
Singer takes the mound for the Reds on Tuesday fresh off a semi-competent start against the moribund Pirates offense. Prior to that start, he had given up a home run in seven straight and had a 5.97 ERA.
Many wondered if Singer would get snake-bitten by the long ball when making The Great American Ball Park his home, but what's more concerning for the 28-year-old is the walks, as he's struggling to command his offerings worse than we've seen at any point in his career.
Kansas City is countering with something of a bullpen day fronted by Daniel Lynch IV, who'll be making his second start of this type. The Royals will likely hope he can keep Cincy's bats at bay for 2-3 innings max (probably one time through the order) before mixing and matching the rest of the way.
Kansas City's bullpen has been an asset this year, and starting with the southpaw Lynch, and being able to play matchups the rest of the way should work in their benefit on Tuesday.
I like the Royals in both halves, but I'm particularly enamored with them starting things off with a lefty against an offense that struggles against left-handed pitching.
I'll be betting Royals first five moneyline at -120 or better.
