Tonight, I will be going hard on the A's lefties to hit homers, as this spot is far too good.
The Mariners' Luis Castillo isn't a bad pitcher, but he has struggled with lefty power in his career (1.37 HR/9), and even though he has been better this season (1.01 HR/9), he's due for some negative regression with an 8.7% HR/FB rate.
The weather should be great for hitting in Sacramento, with temperatures in the high 80s and wind blowing at 8 MPH.
Tyler Soderstrom has been better for the Athletics after a mid-season struggle, with five bombs in July. I have the true odds for a homer around +400, making this a great bet.
