MLB Home Run Picks for September 7

Colson Montgomery (+525)
at Tigers (SP: RHP Charlie Morton)

Colson has been one of the hottest hitters in baseball since the All-Star break, and today’s matchup sets up perfectly. He faces Charlie Morton, a pitcher who profiles as a plus matchup for home run props. I project the true odds on Colson closer to +425, giving bettors strong positive EV value in this spot.

Jazz Chisholm (+350)
vs Blue Jays (SP: RHP Max Scherzer)

The market is undervaluing Yankees left-handed bats today. Max Scherzer has struggled badly against lefty power this season, allowing a massive 2.35 HR/9.
Combine that with one of the best ballparks in baseball for left-handed home runs, and the setup is ideal. I project the true odds on Jazz closer to +300, making this one of the best MLB betting values on the board with strong positive EV.

Pete Alonso (+360)
at Reds (SP: RHP Hunter Greene)

Hunter Greene has been strong this season, but the pricing on Pete Alonso is simply too generous today. Despite Greene’s overall effectiveness, his profile remains a favorable matchup for right-handed power bats.
Add in the ballpark boost for righty hitters, and Alonso — one of the premier sluggers in MLB — is in a prime spot. I project his true odds below +300, which makes this a high-value MLB prop bet with strong positive expected value.

Shea Langeliers (+290)
at Angels (SP: LHP Mitch Farris)

Hammering the Athletics’ right-handed bats today. Hitting conditions in Los Angeles are ideal, and the matchup sets up perfectly. While we don’t have a large sample on Farris, his profile grades out as a strong matchup for right-handed power hitters.
I project true odds on Shea closer to +225, which creates significant positive expected value and makes this one of the best MLB prop bets on the board.
