MLB Home Run Picks for August 7

Header First Logo

Oneil Cruz (+450)

vs Cubs (SP: RHP Brady Singer)

Header Trailing Logo

Oneil Cruz gets a matchup vs. Brady Singer, who has been hit hard by lefties this season. Singer has given up a 1.36 HR/9 to lefties, as well as a 43.7% fly-ball rate and a 39.3% hard-contact rate. This ballpark isn't great for homers, but these odds more than make up for it. I have the true odds at under +400, making this a great bet.

Agustin Ramirez (+450)

at Braves (SP: RHP Carlos Carrasco)

Header Trailing Logo

Agustin Ramirez isn't a huge power guy, but he's in a great spot today. Carlos Carrasco has been crushed by righty power over the past few seasons, giving up nearly 2.00 HR/9 since the beginning of 2023. This ballpark is an upgrade for Ramirez, and his 17 homers and 12.5% barrel rate on the season are solid. I have the true odds here under +400, making this a great bet.

Kyle Stowers (+400)

at Braves (SP: RHP Carlos Carrasco)

Header Trailing Logo

Kyle Stowers has been fantastic this season, and he's in a great spot today. Carlos Carrasco is getting up there in age and really isn't a great MLB pitcher anymore. He's given up a high 1.89 HR/9 on the season, and while he's been better at suppressing power to lefties, he's due for some regression. He's given up a ton of homers over the past three seasons and grades out as an above-average matchup for lefty power. This ballpark is an upgrade for Stowers, and his 18.9% barrel rate this season is one of the best in baseball. I have the true odds here just above +300, making this a great bet.
