Brandon Lowe gets a matchup against Blue Jays starting pitcher Kevin Gausman, who hasn’t allowed much power to left-handed hitters this season.
Still, Gausman has struggled overall and is due for some negative regression — his 45.2% fly-ball rate allowed to lefties indicates the bombs are likely coming soon.
Lowe is a good power bat with a high average exit velocity (91.9%, 83rd percentile) and decent fly-ball rate (34.7%).
Lowe has hit five homers this season, and at +550, there’s good value in him going long again on Thursday.
