We went 1-1 on Monday with a cash on the Tigers single-team YRFI, bringing us to roughly even depending on your use of the bonus bet option at DraftKings.
We have a full day of games on Tuesday, and I've found three picks I like.
Let's dive into my MLB NRFI & YRFI picks and model predictions for Tuesday.
MLB NRFI, YRFI Picks and Predictions — June 3, 2025
Brewers vs. Reds NRFI/YRFI Prediction
Starting Pitchers: Freddy Peralta vs. Hunter Greene
I have a solid projection on this one, thanks to the excellent numbers from both starting pitchers.
Freddy Peralta's first-time-through-the-order ERA is an excellent 2.03, while Greene's is even better at 1.59.
These teams also rank 21st (Cincinnati) and 25th against right-handed pitching overall and collectively have one hitter with a wRC+ better than 120 among the six hitters guaranteed to bat in the first.
This game being in Cincinnati, where the weather is favorable for bats, is the only reason I don't have a massive edge projected.
As it stands, I don't want to go much past the -135 line at ESPN Bet, but I'm still showing some value.
Diamondbacks vs. Braves NRFI/YRFI Prediction
Starting Pitchers: Spencer Strider vs. Zac Gallen
Spencer Strider is understandably struggling a bit as he returns from Tommy John surgery and missing most of 2024. He has a 4.50 ERA through three starts and a 7.84 first-time-through-the-order ERA.
That latter number doesn't tell us much with the tiny sample size, but it's not a great sign.
That's especially true against the Diamondbacks, who have five straight hitters at the top of the lineup with a 120 or higher wRC+. To put that another way, each of their first five have a better wRC+ than any player coming up in the first inning in Reds/Brewers.
On the other side, we have the Braves taking on Zac Gallen. Gallen has a 5.54 ERA on the season and his first-time-through-the-order xFIP and ERA are both in the fours.
The Braves' lineup is suddenly extremely strong at the top, with Marcell Ozuna and Drake Baldwin both hitting for wRC+ numbers over 140 and Ronald Acuna Jr. back.
Acuna's rest-of-the-season projected numbers have his wRC+ in the 140-160 range, making this a great trio at the top.
I also like the Braves single team YRFI of +185 at DraftKings, and it's a solid choice to use the no-sweat bonus bet promotion offered today.
Angels vs. Red Sox NRFI/YRFI Prediction
Starting Pitchers: Yusei Kikuchi vs. Brayan Bello
We usually don't see YRFIs this cheap in a game with a total of nine or more runs, and some books have this one listed at 9.5.
That's the biggest factor in this bet, though it's not the only thing to like.
While both pitchers have slightly above-average early game splits, Boston is a top-10 team against lefties, and the Angels are just slightly below average against righties.
They also got Mike Trout back recently. While we have him projected as the No. 5 hitter, it wouldn't be shocking if he returned to the top of the lineup.
Even if he doesn't, he boosts the chances of a first-inning run if they can get to him.
Plus, this game is at Fenway Park, the second-best hitters' park in baseball. With warm temperatures and the wind blowing out directly to the Green Monster, we're getting a solid boost to both overall scoring and home runs, all of which is enough for the YRFI at low juice.
