Phillies vs Mariners MLB Parlay Picks
Story: Back Randy to Stay Hot at The Plate
The Mariners will host the Phillies on Tuesday night in the second of a three-game homestand at T-Mobile Park in Seattle.
Right-hander George Kirby will take the mound for the Mariners, while the visiting Phils will trot out righty veteran Aaron Nola.
Below, I will break down this interleague clash and further provide a “same-game-parlay” (SGP) betting angle that you can take when wagering on tonight’s action.
For the front leg of my SGP, I favor backing Mariners OF Randy Arozarena to exceed his 1.5 HRR (Hits + Runs + RBIs) mark in what I expect to be a favorable matchup versus Nola.
Arozarena has only a single in five previous plate appearances against the Phillies RHP. However, Randy has smashed two homers over his last three games, and I fully expect him to maintain his scorching form this evening.
In 26 outings on the mound in 2026, Nola has recorded a subpar 5.12 ERA and a 1.42 WHIP on the season throughout his 137 frames of work.
While he boasts a high-spin curveball that has been quite effective in the past as a punch-out offering, the Phils’ veteran has struggled mightily with the command of his arsenal all year long, which has led to him frequently falling behind in the count, forcing him to throw strikes in the zone.
Randy thrives against four-seam fastballs, especially when left over the heart of the plate, and I fully expect him to do damage facing an arm well past his prime.
For the second leg of our SGP, I will be looking to back Seattle on the moneyline in what I expect to be a tight, hard-fought victory.
While George Kirby was phenomenal in his first three seasons pitching in the Major Leagues, the Elon-product has largely struggled on the mound throughout the past year and a half, so he enters today’s contest in subpar form.
That said, the Mariners’ 28-year-old has been exceptional in his previous encounters with this Phillies lineup, allowing just five hits across his 40 collective at-bats against them.
Though backing Seattle is far from a top-notch play confidence-wise, I do see a small edge on the M’s moneyline as they boast the superior starting pitcher of this matchup.
The Mariners’ pitching staff was absolutely dreadful last week. They surrendered 22 runs in one game and 19 in another in their last six games, so I wouldn't be surprised to see some positive regression as Seattle bounces back with a stellar outing from Kirby.
While Philadelphia is undoubtedly the better team, I don't mind backing Seattle tonight as a value play.
