Marlins SP Caleb Smith
The Pick: Over 5 (-130)
The main issue with Smith is he doesn't pitch deep into games, so he needs to be efficient in his outings. Luckily, he typically does just that as he's averaged 10.21 K/9 over the past 12 months, including a 27% strikeout rate in 2018, which was well above average among starting pitchers.
On deck is a Braves lineup that has a high 26.8% strikeout rate against left-handed pitchers over the past year. We're currently projecting Smith for 7.6 strikeouts in the FantasyLabs props tool.
