Angels vs White Sox MLB Betting Preview, Analysis
I'm going with Mike Trout tonight, who is primed for a really nice day at the plate against Anthony Kay and the White Sox.
Trout matched up really well against Kay, who has struggled to find the strike zone at times this year.
There's going to be terrible weather again, with the wind blowing in hard from right field. I would be shocked if anyone hits a home run, but I think Trout can get to 2+ total bases here against a very below-average pitcher in Chicago tonight.
Trout hasn't been missing bats at all this season since coming back over from Japan. There's obviously a significant risk of a walk here as well. He is actually walking more than he's striking out so far this season, which is shocking. Even in his prime, Trout struck out a lot — he's still striking out, about 20 % of the time — but he's walking 22 % of the time.
He's had a bit of a career renaissance here at the age of 34, hitting everything right now. Kay offers a sweeper and a cutter alongside his four seamer. Trout crushes those pitches, the sweeper in particular.
Pick: Mike Trout 2+ Total Bases
