Knicks vs Kings NBA Preview

The Knicks are 1-1 on their current road trip and just 8-10 away this season, with their best road performance arguably coming this past Sunday, when they outlasted the gritty Portland Trail Blazers down the stretch.

All season, the Knicks are just 1-10 on the road against teams .500 or better, but 7-0 against teams below that mark, which would apply directly to the Kings.

The Kings, however, are currently on a season-best two-game winning streak. Seriously. They've only won two straight one other time this season.

With home wins over the Rockets and Lakers, Sacramento will look to make it three in a row for the first time since April.

The Knicks are 2-5 in their last seven games heading into tonight, which will be the first of a back-to-back, as they're in Golden State tomorrow night.

As of this morning, Landry Shamet (shoulder) is the only Knick out. Although on the front end of a back-to-back — with the better team on the backend — watch for updated injury reports throughout the day.

Tonight could be a rest spot for a Knick or two, especially Mitchell Robinson, who hasn't played a back-to-back since April 2024.

For the Kings, Domantas Sabonis (knee) and Keegan Murray (ankle) are out.

Knicks vs Kings Prediction, Betting Analysis

I'm going back to Deuce McBride here. This is a good spot against the Kings, the type of team the Knicks do beat on the road.

McBride went back to the bench in the last game due to Josh Hart's return, but still logged 35 minutes despite finishing 3-for-11 from the field with eight points. Why? Because Mike Brown loves him, as I continue to say here and elsewhere.

Brown looks for reasons to play Deuce extended minutes because he implicitly trusts his point of attack defense, complementary shooting, and secondary ball-handling, all of which are stabilizing forces for this team, and you feel it when he's missing time.

McBride, in a winnable spot, should log significant minutes. He's at 25 or more in seven straight — just three starts — hitting at least 30 in five of those, including two off the bench.

Prior to the last game, Deuce had been Over 10.5 points in seven straight games since returning from injury.

Best Bet: Deuce McBride Over 10.5 Points (-121, DraftKings)
