Arkansas hosts Vanderbilt in Fayetteville on Tuesday in a top-20 SEC matchup that has a total sitting at nearly 175 points.
I've fired up my player projections, and I've found solid value on one of the Commodores' star guards.
Arkansas vs Vanderbilt Player Prop
This one is wild. Tyler Tanner is averaging 35.5 minutes per 40 in six non-blowout games without Frankie Collins in the lineup (he's doubtful for tonight). I'd expect similar minutes in what's likely to be a close contest (1.5-point spread).
Arkansas is a team you can rack up assists on, as it plays up-tempo (20th in pace), doesn't foul (29th-lowest FTA/FGA ratio) and forces turnovers at a below average rate (195th), meaning more possessions end in shots.
The Razorbacks allow assists right at the national average, and Tanner averages 6.1 dimes every 35.5 minutes. Thus, my projection of 5.9 is actually a touch lower than I expected, especially in an up-tempo game.
I love this over 4.5 at plus money, and I'd play over 5.5 at plus money as well.
This is a good ladder spot at bet365 for 7+ at +400.
Pick: Tyler Tanner Over 4.5 Assists (+100)
