Michigan State and Indiana are historically two of the men's basketball powers of the Big Ten. Both teams have gotten themselves back in that conversation this season.
The Michigan State Spartans are 17-6 and ranked as the No. 17 team in the country in the AP Poll. They currently sit in fourth place in the Big Ten with an 8-4 record. However, the Spartans are coming off of two consecutive losses — on the road at Rutgers and home versus Wisconsin.
The Indiana Hoosiers are also coming off of two straight losses, and it feels like ages ago since they knocked off No. 3 Purdue. The Hoosiers (16-7) are in the middle of the pack in the Big Ten and likely an NCAA tournament team.
