The Midwest is known for several things: football, accents, cheese, Laverne and Shirley, That '70s Show, etc.

One thing they are not known for, however, is basketball. Don't tell the sharps, though, because they will put their foot in your ass.

That's right. Tonight, we've seen sharp bettors on, not one, but two Wisconsin schools: Green Bay and Milwaukee.

First, we'll look at Wright State vs. Wisc Green Bay. The Phoenix (that's what Green Bay's team is called) opened as a 5.5-point home dog and have received only 32% of spread bets. While one would imagine that the line would move towards Wright State, it has actually moved a point and a half towards Green Bay, suggesting significant sharp action.

This can help be explained by the +32% dollar differential, as shown by the public money tool. While casual small players are loading up on Wright State, bigger bettors are taking Green Bay. Wright State…more like Wrong State, am I right? Such a bad joke that it could perhaps be considered good.

Our second sharp Wisconsin team is Milwaukee, who will be playing host to Northern Kentucky. Milwaukee doesn't boast the gaudy dollar differential like Green Bay, but we can see why the line is moving towards them if we take a look at Sports Insights' Sportsbook Insider Pro membership.

This morning, a reverse line movement was triggered by ABC at +6 and at about brunch time, a steam move was triggered at +5.5 at the Greek.

The line has continued to move and the Panthers (that's what Milwaukee's team is called) have since moved to +4.

Will the sharp players be dousing themselves in Milwaukee's Best tonight or will they think twice the next time they bet on a basketball team from Wisconsin?
