Saint Francis vs Troy College Basketball Betting Preview

Troy is so well coached and has already put together an impressive resume, including a defeat of San Diego State on the road and a close, one-point loss in triple overtime against USC.

The offense is really fun to watch, as it's led by Cooper Campbell, Thomas Dowd and Victor Valdes, who each average over 15 points per contest.

Troy has been really efficient on offense for a Sun Belt team, and it's ramped up the tempo over previous seasons. The Trojans do a great job of getting to the foul line, and they're not afraid to shoot from deep, as they take 45% of their shots from beyond the 3-point line.

St. Francis has also significantly ramped up its tempo this season from prior campaigns, and while it's not overly efficient on offense, it continues to run with its opponents.

Skylar Wicks and Zion Russell are solid scorers on the offensive end, and the Red Flash play hard for a full 40 minutes, despite often being blown out.

Their defense has been one of the worst in all of college basketball, ranking 340th in KenPom’s defensive efficiency metric. St. Francis can't defend the interior, so Troy should be able to get whatever it wants at the rim.

Troy is going to feast down low and should shoot 30+ free throws in this game. St. Francis won't be able to defend the Trojans, and I think we'll see Troy let up its defensive intensity (this is its fourth game in eight days, all away from home).

I expect pace, fouls and points, so take the over.

My Pick: Over 151.5
