2022 NFL Draft Odds: Spencer Rattler, Sam Howell Favorites To Go No. 1

University of North Carolina quarterback Sam Howell and University of Oklahoma quarterback Spencer Rattler are the early preseason favorites to go No. 1 overall in the 2022 NFL Draft.
Howell is the +225 favorite at DraftKings while Rattler is +300 at the sportsbook.
But at PointsBet, Rattler is the favorite (+225) while Howell is second-best at +275.
Rattler threw for over 3,000 yards with 28 touchdowns in 11 starts last season. He was 10th in the country in passing yards and 8th in the NCAA in passing touchdowns.

Howell had opened at +350 to go No. 1 overall in May at PointsBet. That line has shortened by an implied probability of more than 4%.
Howell is entering his third season as UNC's starter. He had been the first true freshman in Tar Heel history to make a Week 1 start. The 20-year-old threw for 3,586 yards (fourth-highest in the country) and 30 touchdowns (sixth highest) in 2020.
Oregon defensive end Kayvon Thibodeaux has the third-best odds to go No. 1 overall with a line of +450 at both PointsBet and DraftKings. His line had opened at +400 in May.
Thibodeaux won the Morris Trophy last season, which is given annually to the top offensive player and defensive player in the Pac-12.
LSU's Derek Stingley Jr.'s odds have lengthened from +800 to +1200 at PointsBet. He was the fourth-best favorite to go No. 1 overall in May but is now tied for sixth at the book.
USC quarterback Kedon Slovis opened at +1000 odds at PointsBet to go No. 1 overall but those odds have also lengthened to +1200. Slovis became the starter as a true freshman after replacing JT Daniels, who transferred to Georgia the following season.
Daniels has +1000 odds to go No. 1 overall at PointsBet after opening at +1800 in May. That's almost a 4% chance in implied probability.
