Week 13 of the college football season is here, which means another opportunity to find some value on a couple of underdogs.
For the eighth straight season on our college football betting podcast, Big Bets on Campus, Collin Wilson and Stuckey pick their two favorite moneyline underdogs for each week's slate.
For Week 13 of the season, they're rolling with two Group of 5 underdogs — one home 'dog in the American Conference and one home 'dog in the Sun Belt.
If you're feeling lucky, a parlay of both pups pays out at 3-1 at the time of writing.
Let's dive into our college football moneyline underdogs for Week 13.
- 2018-24: 85-129, +15.91 Units
- 2025: 8-16, -3.5 Units
- Overall: 92-144, +11.39 Units
College Football Moneyline Underdog Picks for Week 13
Stuckey: UTSA +115 vs. East Carolina

I like UTSA over ECU in this one. This feels like a coin-flip.
Here’s the big takeaway: UTSA head coach Jeff Traylor has gone 24-0 straight up against conference opponents at home. That alone tells you everything you need to know.
Meanwhile, ECU’s secondary has been a bit shaky, which could be a problem against UTSA’s aerial attack.
Usually, home and away games tell different stories for these teams.
UTSA quarterback Owen McCown is finally healthy and looks like he’s playing that way. That's big in a game like this against a questionable secondary.
But all the pressure’s on East Carolina, since they’re on the road, and UTSA thrives with the home crowd behind them.
I also think we've reached the peak of the market on ECU, which remains in contention for an American title. However, this is still a team with two road wins on the year:
- at Temple against an Owls defense that had all backups in the secondary
- at Coastal Carolina early in the season before the Chants figured some things out and changed quarterbacks
Those aren’t exactly marquee road wins.
I trust UTSA at home to get the job done. Traylor’s perfect home record in league play says a lot. This feels like the Roadrunners' game to win.
Collin Wilson: South Alabama ML +105 vs. Southern Miss

Last week, we faded our 40-1 Southern Miss tickets. Let’s lean into that again because the only game Southern Miss cares about right now is next week against Troy.
The South Alabama game isn't really on its radar — especially since quarterback Braylon Braxton is listed as questionable. However, there’s no reason to rush him out there if he’s not ready.
Without Braxton, it’s going to be rough. Landry Lyddy’s going to have to handle the snaps, and Major Applewhite made it pretty clear how different the team looks without Braxton. No disrespect to Lyddy, but it’s like night and day compared to what Braxton brings, and I don't expect him to suit up this week.
On the other side, South Alabama is riding some momentum.
It has won two of its last three games with QB Bishop Davenport finally playing like he did during the bowl game last year, when people thought the Jaguars would be a solid team.
Against ULM last week, Davenport and Kentrel Bullock each posted two rushing touchdowns.
South Alabama leads the all-time series, 5-0, and while it’s not your typical rivalry in the headlines, it’s a proximity rivalry that matters a lot to the Jaguars. This game means a lot to South Alabama, but it's a throwaway for Southern Miss.
I’m taking South Alabama here.
