There are already plenty of interesting angles regarding Saturday's playing of "The Game" between Michigan and Ohio State (12 p.m. ET, FOX).
Sharp money has hit the Michigan-Ohio State spread multiple times throughout the week, and now the over/under is also on the move.
Oddsmakers opened this total at 59 and 78% of tickets are playing the under. In fact, 97% of actual dollars wagered on the over/under are also banking on a low-scoring game.
With so many bettors taking the under, some sportsbooks have moved the number down to 55, while the market consensus has settled between 55.5 and 56.5.
Why are all bettors seemingly aligned on the under?
Michigan's No. 1-ranked defense (in terms of yards allowed per game) certainly helps, but a windy forecast is also leading many to expect a low-scoring game.
Steady 13 mph crosswinds are expected at the Horseshoe throughout the entire game, adding a layer of difficulty to both the passing and kicking games.
According to Bet Labs, unders are 1,050-883-26 (54.3%) in college football games played in double-digit winds since 2005.
That win rate bumps up to 57.6% in games with breezes of at least 13 mph.
