Missouri vs Oklahoma Preview
The Oklahoma Sooners will host the Missouri Tigers on Saturday afternoon. This is the biggest game in the Brent Venables era at Oklahoma.
With a win on Saturday, Oklahoma will drastically improve its odds of making the College Football Playoff.
The Sooners stunned Alabama last weekend with a 23-21 road win.
Signal-caller John Mateer leads the Sooners with 2,087 passing yards, eight touchdowns, and seven interceptions.
Missouri enters the game ranked 22nd in the AP Poll. Unfortunately for the Tigers, injuries have derailed what could have been a playoff season.
Missouri’s three losses will keep them out of the playoff picture, but they will likely earn an invitation to one of the top bowl games.
The Tigers can still play spoiler on the road and earn a key SEC win.
Running back Ahmad Hardy has rushed for 1,356 yards this season and 15 touchdowns. Hardy exploded for 300 yards last weekend against Mississippi State.

I don't see a way for Missouri to stay close in this game.
The Tigers are on their backup quarterback, Matt Zollers, who will struggle against this outstanding Oklahoma defense.
Venables will sell out against the run and limit Hardy, forcing Missouri to beat them through the air.
I expect Oklahoma to come out with much more energy in this game, with the playoff at stake, and dominate the contest from start to finish.

As mentioned, I expect Venables to sell out against the run and force Missouri to throw the football to beat them.
Hardy has been the best running back in college football this season, but the game script favors the under.
