Wyoming vs Colorado Picks, Betting Analysis

This game triggered one of our Action PRO Bet Labs systems, powered by my guy Evan Abrams.

Early Road Redemption is a college football system that identifies value on visiting teams in the opening stretch of the season after they have underperformed against the spread in their previous outing.

The market often punishes these teams too heavily for a single early loss, creating inflated lines in the next matchup.

By narrowing the spread range between modest underdogs and double-digit spots, the system captures situations where the road team is competitive but overlooked.

These games are played in manageable weather conditions and typically fall within lower scoring totals, which reduces volatility and keeps contests closer than expected.

When teams in their first eight games seek redemption on the road after a poor showing against the spread, they frequently outperform expectations, making this a profitable angle.

Wyoming is due for a big bounce-back performance after last week’s 25-point loss to Utah. The Cowboys hung around for a while, holding the Utes to just three first-half points. Ultimately, Utah’s talent overwhelmed the lowly Pokes.

However, this underscores how good Wyoming’s defense has been this season. The Pokes rank 16th nationally in EPA per Dropback allowed and 13th in EPA per Drive allowed. They’ve done an excellent job at limiting explosives, even if their rush defense is somewhat sketchy.

That said, I’m not that worried about Colorado’s rush offense, given the Buffaloes’ offensive line is a mess (ranked 108th nationally in Line Yards).

However, I’m concerned about Colorado’s offense in general, as Deion Sanders has yet to decide on a quarterback. He's played three guys this year and apparently doesn't like any of them.

Third-stringer Ryan Staub played all 60 minutes last week against Houston, and he looked dreadful (19-for-35 passing for 197 yards, one touchdown, two picks, -0.37 EPA per Dropback, 34% Success Rate).

Wyoming’s offense has yet to get going this season, but I was high on the squad in the preseason. The Pokes returned nine starters from last year’s offense, including their quarterback, Kaden Anderson, and All-MWC tight end, John Michael Gyllenborg.

Eventually, the Wyoming offense will make some strides. Why not this week against a Colorado defense that ranks 115th nationally in Available Yards Allowed?

Pick: Wyoming +13 (-110, bet365)
