Colorado Buffaloes Football

The Colorado Buffaloes football team is preparing for the 2023 season with renewed optimism and a fresh start under the guidance of new Head Coach Deion Sanders. After a challenging 2022 season, where they finished with a 1-11 overall record and a 1-8 record in the Pac-12 conference, the Buffaloes are aiming to turn their fortunes around and make a mark in college football.

Colorado Buffaloes Point Spreads

Colorado struggled immensely against the spread in 2022, covering in only 2 games.

Here’s an example of a Buffaloes spread:

  • Colorado -8.5 (-110)
  • Arizona +8.5 (-110)

If Colorado, the favored (-) team here, wins 24-13, its bets win because the margin of victory (11) is more than the spread. Underdog (+) teams only need to lose by less than the spread, but winning the game will do the trick, too.

Colorado Buffaloes Over/Unders

Colorado was also a profitable team to bet on in 2020 if you like overs.

Overs, one of two sides you can take in over/unders bets, are a bet on there being more total points in the game than oddsmakers are expecting. Last season, Colorado totals went over in nine of twelve games.

Let’s say the total, which is the number you bet over or under on, is set at 55 points for a Colorado at UCLA game. If the game finished 42-35, then over bettors would win since there were 77 points scored. Under bettors would win if there were 54 or fewer points scored, and if there were exactly 55 then the bet is a push (tie) and both over and under bettors are refunded.

Colorado Buffaloes Moneylines

Moneyline bets on the team expected to lose, the underdog, pay out more than bets on the team expected to win.

To illustrate, Colorado beating Stanford as a +285 underdog means that a $100 bet profited $285. If the Buffs had been -285 favorites and won, a $285 bet would profit $100.

Colorado Buffaloes Props

Instead of betting on the Buffaloes as a unit, you can also place bets on your favorite player on the team. These bets are called proposition (or prop) bets, and they involve betting over or under on certain statistical categories.

Props you could make on the Buffaloes this year include player passing yards, running back touchdowns, or wide receiver catches, among others.

Colorado Buffaloes Futures

With all of the bets available to you at U.S. online sportsbooks, you can even bet on the whole season for the Buffaloes. These bets, called futures, are settled at the end of the year and include things like over/under on total wins, odds to win the Pac-12, national championship odds and many more.
