Legalized Sports Betting in Missouri

Missouri is launching legal sports betting at 12:01 a.m. local time on December 1.

This follows the passage of Amendment 2 in the November 2024 election, which legalized both retail and online sports betting statewide. Pre-registration for sportsbook accounts and deposits opened on November 17, 2025, giving users a chance to set up accounts and fund them ahead of the live launch.

In addition to Caesars Sportsbook, early licenses have been awarded to major operators including bet365, BetMGM, Circa, DraftKings, ESPN BET, Fanatics Sportsbook, FanDuel, and Underdog Sports for online betting; several of these (such as Caesars, Fanatics, ESPN BET) also have retail betting licenses.

Physical sportsbooks are expected at Missouri’s casinos and possibly near pro sports stadiums, while mobile apps will allow betting anywhere within state lines for those age 21 and over.

Missouri’s 13 riverboat casinos can each partner with up to three online betting brands, and the state’s six pro sports franchises may host or affiliate with operators. Two “untethered” licenses are available, allowing independent market entry.
