Michigan's online casino revenue experienced a significant jump in February, climbing almost 23% from the previous year, propelled by industry leaders such as FanDuel and BetMGM.

The Michigan Gaming Control Board (MGCB) recently released figures showing strong performance in the state's iGaming (online casino gaming) sector for February. The iGaming revenue for February (gross receipts) reached $273.1 million, up from the $222.5 million recorded in February 2025, marking a 22.7% year-over-year increase in gross receipts.

This growth aligns with Michigan's ongoing boom in legal online casinos, which has seen record-setting totals in recent years.

For instance, iGaming gross receipts hit a high of $315.8 million in December, contributing to a record annual $3.1 billion for 2025. This beat the previous record set in October by a large margin.

The uptick last month is nothing to sneeze at, though, despite the shorter month and a month-over-month dip from January's near-$298 million figure, which is likely due to seasonal factors like post-holiday slowdowns.

Which Michigan Online Casinos Are Driving The Revenue?

The inclusion and performance of newer or expanding operators, such as Hard Rock Bet, which launched recently and contributed meaningfully, have helped fuel year-over-year gains.

The market remains dominated by major players seen in recent months, with FanDuel Casino (partnered with MotorCity Casino) continuing to lead, followed closely by BetMGM Casino (MGM Grand Detroit), DraftKings Casino (Bay Mills), and other emerging challengers like BetRivers Casino.

Detailed breakdowns aligned with February 2026 figures are as follows:

  • FanDuel Casino (MotorCity): Top operator with approximately $69.3 million in iGaming revenue, maintaining its consistent lead. This builds on strong performance in prior months, such as $73.3 million in January 2026 and highs like $76.9 million in December.
  • BetMGM Casino (MGM Grand Detroit): Holds second place, estimated in the $60-65 million range based on trends, such as $65.8 million in January. It typically trails FanDuel by a modest margin but holds a strong position.
  • DraftKings Casino (Bay Mills): Third with an estimated $40-45 million, consistent with $45.5 million in January 2026 and prior highs.
  • BetRivers (Little River Band of Ottawa): Fourth, with notable performance, outperforming newer entrants in some reports for February.
  • Hard Rock Bet (Hannahville): Fifth or competitive in the top five, with around $20 million, building on its recent launch momentum. It hit $35.7 million in its debut month (December).

These top operators account for the bulk of the $273.1 million total, with FanDuel, BetMGM, and DraftKings historically capturing over 60-70% of the market share combined in mature months.

Michigan Online Casinos Remain Strong Overall

Overall, Michigan remains one of the top U.S. states for iGaming revenue, consistently outpacing many others due to its mature and competitive market, which includes multiple tribal and commercial operators.

The nearly 23% increase in revenue underscores continued consumer demand and market expansion, even as online sports betting experienced softer results during the same period. For instance, combined iGaming and online sports betting revenues totaled $313 million for February, which is down from January but shows an overall year-over-year increase.

It's also important to note that some sources report the adjusted gross receipts (AGR) for iGaming in February at just over $262 million. This figure accounts for deductions like promotional allowances and indicates an even stronger year-over-year growth of more than 25% compared to the previous February.

This strong iGaming revenue also generated significant tax contributions, with approximately $54 million going to the state and almost $20 million to cities and local jurisdictions last month. So, it appears the Wolverine State will remain a strong player in the online casino industry for years to come.
