Not sure if it comes with a "get out of jail free" card, but Monopoly fans will love the newest addition to a casino floor in California.

Monopoly, one of the world’s most recognizable board games, has entered a new arena: casino table games.  Galaxy Gaming and Hasbro just launched Monopoly Table Games Progressive at Pechanga Resort Casino in Temecula, California, marking the system’s official debut with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

“We’re thrilled to see MONOPOLY Poker Progressive debut at the stunning Pechanga Resort Casino,” said Loreal Gates, Director of Sales for Galaxy Gaming. “Pechanga has been an incredible partner, and we look forward to delivering more world-class experiences together in the future.”

The Monopoly board game has long been associated with big wins and dramatic turnarounds, themes that fit easily into a casino setting.

New Branded Progressive Debuts at Pechanga

The launch introduces a branded side bet system designed to enhance traditional table games such as blackjack and poker variants. Developed by Galaxy Gaming under its licensing agreement with Hasbro, the product combines familiar Monopoly imagery with modern casino mechanics.

Players can place an optional side bet alongside their standard wager to become eligible for progressive jackpots and bonus features. The system integrates with Galaxy Gaming’s existing progressive platforms, allowing casinos to add the feature without changing core game rules or significantly impacting house edge.

Pechanga, one of the largest casinos in the United States with more than 5,500 slot machines and over 150 table games, is the first property to roll out this version of the Monopoly-branded experience.

“Introducing themed table games to Pechanga Resort Casino with the esteemed and universally recognized MONOPOLY brand is an exciting first for us. It’s a first-to-market product we know our guests are going to love,” said Paul Mollo, Vice President of Table Operations at Pechanga Resort Casino. “Guests know us for our gaming innovation and the thrill of winning. The MONOPOLY multipliers are such a fun way to inject even more excitement for them.”

How the Dynamic Multiplier Works

A central feature of the system is its “Dynamic Progressive” mechanic, which introduces a random multiplier element to gameplay.

Before each round begins, an animated Mr. Monopoly (just like the on on the Monopoly board game) appears on a video display. Mr. Monopoly selects specific qualifying hands to receive a payout boost, typically ranging from 3x to 10x.

The multiplier applies only to that round and only to designated outcomes. If a player hits one of the selected hands while participating in the side bet, their payout is increased accordingly. For instance, a $1,000 win could be elevated to as much as $10,000 with a 10x multiplier.

Because the feature activates randomly and does not apply to every hand, it adds an element of unpredictability and anticipation to each round.

Designed for Broad Player Appeal

Monopoly Table Games Progressive brings a familiar board game theme into the casino in a way that feels more interactive than traditional table play. Mr. Monopoly appears on the screen each round, randomly selecting certain hands for multipliers that can go as high as 10x, adding a layer of unpredictability to the game.

Instead of changing how the base game works, the system sits on top as an optional side bet, giving players a chance at boosted payouts without affecting the standard rules.

The animations and recognizable visuals help create a more engaging atmosphere, while the random multipliers add moments of suspense throughout play. It’s also designed to work with most of Galaxy Gaming’s existing progressive setups, making it relatively easy for casinos to integrate.

Galaxy Gaming has positioned Monopoly Table Games Progressive as a product that appeals to both experienced table game players and newer audiences. The use of a globally recognized brand, combined with visual animations and bonus-style features, aims to create a more engaging and accessible experience.

The system is also adaptable across multiple table game formats, with specific payout structures, qualifying hands, and side bet amounts varying by casino and game type.

Part of a Larger Rollout

The Monopoly board game has been a staple of family game nights for decades, known for its mix of strategy, luck, and a little bit of rivalry. And the Pechanga launch is part of a broader expansion of Monopoly-themed casino products.

Earlier versions and related games have appeared at other properties, including Viejas Casino in San Diego, as well as in international markets such as the United Kingdom.

With branded content continuing to gain traction in the gaming industry, Monopoly Table Games Progressive represents a growing trend toward combining familiar intellectual property with traditional casino offerings.
