Buccaneers vs Lions Prop Picks, Preview

Mike Evans Anytime Touchdown (+110)

It’s officially a game-time decision, but the talk throughout this week is that Mike Evans will return for the Bucs on Monday.
The Buccaneers certainly need him back with Emeka Egbuka (questionable) likely to sit and join Chris Godwin and Bucky Iriving on the sidelines. This is very much about opportunity, with Evans the clear best receiving option without his missing teammates.
Evans has scored 27 touchdowns over the past two seasons (and a bit) and has real chemistry with quarterback Baker Mayfield.
Evans has more red-zone targets this year (five) than all of the other wide receivers and tight ends on the team combined despite missing half of the season so far.
Pick: Mike Evans Anytime Touchdown (+110; bet365)

Cade Otton Over 41.5 Receiving Yards (-110)

There are some players in the NFL that you only seem to hear about when other players are injured, and Cade Otton is one of those guys.
He’s the first-string tight end for the Buccaneers, but it’s only when other pass-catchers are out that he comes into his own.
Over the past two games — with no Evans, Godwin, or Irving — Otton has really exploded. In the past two weeks, we’ve seen him catch nine of 11 targets for 81 and 51 yards against the Seahawks and 49ers, respectively.
While Evans returns this week and immediately becomes the team’s big-body threat, Otton will still have a role to play with the Egbuka potentially sidelined.
Pick: Cade Otton Over 41.5 Receiving Yards (-110; bet365)

Jahmyr Gibbs Over 23.5 Receiving Yards (-120)

You can’t bet on a Lions game without getting in on some Jahmyr Gibbs action, and this week we’re backing the Detroit running back to have Over 23.5 receiving yards.
The reasoning is simple: the Buccaneers have been giving up receiving yards for fun against opposition running backs. The Bucs have only given up 392 yards on the ground to the position, but have nearly matched that through the air, with 331.
With the Bucs giving up 55.1 receiving yards per game to running backs, at 10.3 yards per reception, we have to back Gibbs to smash his line, especially given his talent as a pass catcher and his agility in the open field.
Gibbs has hit this number in three of six games this season, but given the opposition, he should see plenty of targets.
Pick: Jahmyr Gibbs Over 23.5 Receiving Yards (-120; BetMGM)

Sean Tucker Over 3.5 Rushing Attempts (-105)

With Bucky Irving out, it’s become Rachaad White’s backfield, at least for the time being. However, Sean Tucker has a place in the Bucs offense, even as a chance-of-pace back.
In two games without Irving, we’ve seen Tucker’s role grow from three carries in Week 5 to six the last time out against the Niners.
Tucker's line for this game stands at 3.5 rushing attempts, which he has a good chance to cover.
White might have scored three times in two games without Irving, but he’s not been very efficient, averaging 2.9 yards per carry against the Seahawks and 3.8 YPC against the Niners, behind the 4.2 YPC that Tucker managed.
That isn’t to say that Tucker will overtake White in carries, but he should keep his role, if not potentially grow.
Pick: Sean Tucker Over 3.5 Rushing Attempts (-105; bet365)
