The San Francisco 49ers suffered a scare when Deebo Samuel went down to the turf on a failed 3rd-and-8. He popped up and walked off under his own power, but went directly to the blue medical tent. The 49ers announced he has a left hamstring injury and was questionable to return. Fortunately, he did just that as he was back on the field for their next drive.

Samuel caught two passes for 24 yards and had two carries for minus-one yard before being injured. He entered the Super Bowl with the fifth-best odds to win MVP according to DraftKings at +2000.

Samuel's importance to the 49ers is well documented. They went 13-1 straight-up when Samuel was on the field for the full game, winning by an average of 19 PPG. Meanwhile, in games Samuel missed or wasn’t able to finish, the 49ers went 1-4 SU and 0-5 ATS.
