Christian McCaffrey is on his way to the San Francisco 49ers via trade, according to NFL Insider Adam Schefter.

While fantasy football managers holding McCaffrey don't have much to do at this point, there's now a void in the Panthers' backfield.

Action Network fantasy football experts believe running back D'Onta Foreman deserves a solid look, especially for those scrambling.

"Foreman should be a startable FLEX this weekend," our own Chris Raybon said. "He has double the amount of carries (12) as Chuba Hubbard (6) this year, so I'd expect him to lead the backfield. In deeper PPR leagues, I'd also add Hubbard. He has split the passing down snaps evenly with Foreman and could overtake him at some point."

Fellow expert Sean Koerner is aligned on the Foreman stance.

"Agreed. Most urgent action is to add Foreman immediately. He’s a free agent in a ton of leagues right now," Koerner noted.

But Foreman isn't the only Panthers player to monitor, according to Raybon.

"I would also try to buy low on DJ Moore," he said. "If he stays in Carolina, 11.7 targets per game open up with McCaffrey and Robbie Anderson gone. So, he could become a double-digit-target-per-game guy and produce in spite of the quarterback situation.

"Simply taking McCaffrey off the Panthers bumped Moore up from my WR36 to WR26 this week. If Moore gets traded, it will almost certainly be to a team with a better quarterback, so buying low is a win-win."

The Panthers are 12.5-point home underdogs vs. the Buccaneers, the largest Week 7 spread.
