Jaguars vs Texans Player Props: Bet Tank Dell

Tank Dell's draft profile was criticized for his size and limited frame in his position before the start of the season. However, since joining the Texans, Dell has proven himself as an excellent receiver and has already significantly impacted the team.
In light of WR3 Noah Brown's groin injury and subsequent placement on the injured reserve list, Dell's responsibilities on the field expanded in Week 2 against the Ravens. He saw a significant increase in his snap share, rising from 48% to 79%, and emerged as a standout player with a remarkable 23% target share — amassing an impressive 10 targets, resulting in a gain of 72 yards for his team.
As with any new wide receiver, reviewing more game footage before making definitive judgments is essential. However, the good news is that the current line for this player has remained relatively stable despite him running the second-most routes on the team and playing in a full-time role.
As for this current game, he likely avoids facing the Jaguars' top cornerback, Tyson Campbell, who will guard Nico Collins. Instead, playing from the slot position and facing the primary nickel corner, Tre Herndon is a more favorable matchup QB CJ Stroud should pick on. Herndon leads his team's defense with a catchable 80.0% completion rate in coverage.
Game theory-wise, the Texans enter as near double-digit underdogs. CJ Stoud may find it challenging to establish the run as four out of five starting offensive linemen are unavailable, which may prompt him to throw more often. Given the increase in dropbacks versus the Jaguars and the strong early performances of the rookie, Dell has a good chance of exceeding his receiving yards prop today.
