Austin Ekeler

4-Plus Receptions

After clearing this combined line in 13 of his 17 games last season, there were some questions around Ekeler’s utilization in new offensive coordinator Kellen Moore’s system.

So far in 2023, we’ve seen much of the same from the versatile running back, with Ekeler catching at least four passes in three of his four games.

Austin Ekeler

25-Plus Receiving Yards

The Chargers will be without Mike Williams and Josh Palmer tonight, and wide receivers in general have had a tough go against a vaunted Jets secondary that’s allowed the third-fewest receptions per game to the position.

However, against running backs in the passing game, the Jets have allowed the highest percentage of receptions (31%) and targets (28%), and the second-highest percentage of receiving yards (23%).

With Justin Herbert’s options on the outside running thin — outside of Keenan Allen — I expect Ekeler to see 7-8 targets.

Garrett Wilson

5-Plus Receptions

I know, I know – it’s still not en vogue to trust the Jets' passing offense. But quite honestly, Wilson’s volume alone should allow him to clear this line.

The sophomore wideout has gone over this line in five of his seven games, with 12-plus targets in three of the last four contests. He’ll be matched up against a Chargers secondary that ranks 26th against opposing WR1s (per FTN Fantasy).

And truth be told, Wilson’s role is the literal definition of “WR1”. Per FTN Fantasy, the Ohio State product ranks first in the NFL in team target share (33.5%). And per Fantasy Points Data, Wilson’s 45.7% first-read percentage also paces the league.

Even in an inefficient passing offense Wilson’s role is massive, and he should see the requisite volume to clear this line.

At a projected 10 targets tonight, I have Wilson at about 5.6 receptions.
