For the third week in a row, the Jacksonville Jaguars face a team in the AFC North. The first two matchups have gone poorly as the Jaguars lost both by a combined seven points.

The Jaguars offense has looked smooth and averaged 29 points in their past two games, but their defense has been an issue after allowing Jake Browning to throw for 335 yards and Joe Flacco to throw for 307 yards. The Jaguars pass defense will need to get back into form if they hope to break from this rut tonight against the Ravens.

While the Jaguars are coming off close back-to-back losses, the Ravens are fresh off their first overtime victory in a surprisingly high scoring game. The Ravens and Rams went score for score all game, and Lamar Jackson threw the ball a season-high 43 times. He only completed 56% of his passes but made those 24 completions count by throwing for 316 yards and three touchdowns.

This finally looked like the offense that many had hoped to see this season from the Ravens, but can they recreate this success again this week in Jacksonville?

The stage is set, so let's get to our Ravens vs Jaguars same game parlay for Sunday Night Football.

Lamar Jackson 225+ Passing Yards

It’s no coincidence that immediately following the Ravens' bye, the offense looked brand new and efficient. The Ravens ran the ball a mere 15 times with running backs out of 69 plays last week as the offense shifted the ball more into Jackson's hands; the result was their second-most points scored on the year and third-most yards gained.

Baltimore will now get its second chance to test its new pass-heavy style against the 28th-ranked defense in Net Yards per Pass Allowed. This will be an excellent test to see if the adjustments made in the bye will be sustainable on a weekly basis.

The biggest fear here is that the Ravens will run away with the game, and Jackson will not need to throw. However, we have seen Jacksonville fight back and be within striking distance of victory in each of its last two games. Baltimore knows even if it starts hot, keeping its foot on the gas is important. After all, we all remember the Jaguars eliminating a 27-0 deficit in the playoffs last year against the Chargers.

Ravens Second-Half Spread -1.5

These teams have both been dominant in the first half. Baltimore has the best team against the first-half spread at 10-3. However, the Jaguars are right behind the Ravens at 9-4 ATS in the first half of games. Both teams have great coaching and start out strong each game.

The second half is far from the same story though. Second halves have been much friendlier to the Ravens this year than the Jaguars. Baltimore is 8-5 against the second-half spread on the year, while Jacksonville is 5-8 against the second-half spread.

With both teams excelling in the first half, expect the winner of this matchup to separate itself in the second half. In this case, I am putting my money where my mouth is and trusting Baltimore to further secure its lead as the AFC’s top seed.

Calvin Ridley 6+ Receptions

This prop mostly is predicated on Christian Kirk's absence. Calvin Ridley received 10 targets two weeks ago without his fellow receiver and 13 targets last week. The Jaguars will need to throw to keep pace with the Ravens, so the opportunities should be there for Ridley. Six is a lot of receptions, but this is the type of game Ridley was brought in for.

Trevor Lawrence played below the level we expect from him against Cleveland, and that contributed to Ridley only catching four passes last week. With an additional week to rest his ankle, Lawrence should rebound and give his receivers better opportunities to make plays.

The Ravens have an explosive offense, Lawrence should be more healthy, and the targets will be there without Kirk. All the stars seem to be aligning for Ridley to show everyone he is worth it on Sunday Night football.
