Professional athletes really are just like us. According to a Tweet from Jimmie Johnson, the NASCAR driver has agreed to a bet on Super Bowl 53 with IndyCar star Marco Andretti.
Man I have a gambling problem… I’m not even sure what the 2.5 part of the bet is? Anyway, now I have a team to pull for. Let’s go @RamsNFL!@MarcoAndrettipic.twitter.com/tKOQQt3U34

Andretti, son of Michael and grandson of Mario, proposed the bet by offering to take the New England Patriots at -2.5.
Johnson, a seven-time Monster Engergy NASCAR Cup Series (MENCS) Champion, agreed to back the Los Angeles Rams. The drivers will be betting $98.48 on the game, which may seem like a random amount for wagering on a professional football game.
However, Andretti's IndyCar number is 98, while Johnson's NASCAR number is 48, explaining how they came up with the stakes.
Andretti has aligned himself with the masses as 81% of bettors agree that the New England Patriots are the right side of Super Bowl 53.
Johnson, who doesn't appear to have a full understanding of the point spread according to his Tweet, is playing the role of contrarian.
Johnson will get back behind the wheel when the MENCS season starts in Daytona, Fla. on Feb. 17, while Andretti's first IndyCar race of 2019 is on March 10 when the NTT IndyCar Series heads to St. Petersburg, Fla.
