Through four games, the Browns defense has faced Chase Brown, Derrick Henry/Lamar Jackson, Josh Jacobs, and Jahmyr Gibbs/David Montgomery. Their defense has held opponents to a league-low 70.3 rushing yards per game.

Cleveland has limited running backs to a ridiculous 2.9 yards per carry. Despite a tremendously tough schedule, the Browns have been the best run-stopping unit in the league by a decent margin.

Jordan Mason has received the majority of the backfield work for the Vikings since Aaron Jones went down with a hamstring injury.

Mason torched the Bengals for 116 yards on 16 carries in Week 3, but managed just 57 yards on 16 carries last week against Pittsburgh.

The Vikings' offensive line has been crushed by injuries recently, which hindered Mason's Week 4 performance.

Tackle Brian O'Neill and guard Donovan Jackson are out for Week 5. Center Ryan Kelly is questionable after sustaining a concussion against Pittsburgh, but he seems like a long shot to play given it's his second time in concussion protocol this season.

Backup center Michael Jurgens also picked up a hamstring injury last week and missed practice on Wednesday.

With a banged-up offensive line and a brutal matchup, Mason will need plenty of volume to have a productive day.

Even with J.J. McCarthy and Carson Wentz under center, Minnesota has ranked 15th in pass rate. That's exactly where the Vikings were last season with Sam Darnold.

It's a tough spot all around for Mason.

Cedric Tillman is out for this game, but I don't think that automatically means that Jerry Jeudy will be in line for more targets.

Isaiah Bond has seen his role expand, and he could easily slot into Tillman's role. Additionally, the Browns' TEs could easily see more volume.

The next issue is the efficiency of this Browns passing attack.

Dillon Gabriel is set to make his first career start at QB, and it doesn't get much more challenging than going overseas and facing the Vikings, who run one of the more confusing and complex defensive schemes in the NFL.

This is a difficult matchup, and the Browns have several players to compete for targets so this Jeudy under projects well.

I have Jeudy projected for just 40 yards in this spot. I'm also projecting the Browns to take a more run-heavy approach without Joe Flacco under center.

Pick: Jerry Jeudy Under 45.5 Receiving Yards (-120)
