Washington Commanders Betting Preview

The Commanders are coming off a 17-13 loss to the Lions in their last preseason game. That was a game where Athan Kaliakmanis and Sam Hartman dominated reps at quarterback, which is expected to be the case once again for this upcoming matchup.

Washington has given Jayden Daniels some reps during joint practice against the Ravens, so you're unlikely to see him in this game.

Reports out of camp indicate that the Commanders' offensive line has struggled mightily in joint practice, as Daniels has consistently been under duress.

Even with backups playing in this game, that doesn't bode well for Washington's chances of scoring points in this one.

Baltimore Ravens Betting Preview

The Ravens have allowed a combined 10 points in their two preseason wins so far. They're coming off a 13-3 victory over the Vikings.

New head coach Jesse Minter is trying to bring back the Ravens defense of old after a down year, and that's starting with the preseason.

With how much Baltimore has lived in the Commanders' backfield in joint practices, I'm expecting more of the same in preseason.

That means we're likely to once again get a low-scoring game vs. Washington.

Commanders vs Ravens Prediction, Betting Analysis

I'm betting on Commanders/Ravens Under 34.5.

While this is one of the lowest numbers on the Week 3 preseason slate, it looks appealing to me. Ravens' games have combined for 16 and 31 points so far. On the other side, Commanders' games have combined for 30 and 27 points.

When you add in the fact that the word out of joint practice continues to be that the Commanders' offense is struggling to get anything going, you can see why the total is so low.

All we need is a 17-13 type of score line to hit this one. With backups playing at quarterback on both sides, this feels firmly within reach.

Pick: Under 34.5 (-110)
