Devils vs. Avalanche Preview

The Devils have to go on the road for the second game of a back-to-back to face a well-rested Avalanche team. Colorado hasn't played since Sunday, which is just one of the many advantages it possesses in this contest.

Another is goaltending, as Jake Allen is expected to start for New Jersey. Through seven starts, Allen possesses an .886 save percentage.

On the other hand, the Avalanche counter with Mackenzie Blackwood, who owns a higher save percentage through his first eight starts of the campaign.

The Avalanche are also the superior team offensively, outranking the Devils in goals scored per game and shooting percentage.

Finally, Colorado has won four of its six home games thus far. All four of those wins came by at least two goals.

Best Bet: Avalanche -1.5 (+130 at DraftKings)
