Coco Gauff is searching for the first Wimbledon title of her career, and she'll face Karolina Muchova in the semifinals on Thursday.
Gauff ousted fellow American Jessica Pegula in three sets in the quarters, while Muchova became the eighth active player to reach the semis at all four Grand Slams after beating Naomi Osaka.

Muchova vs Gauff Betting Preview
By Tudor Cosma
Karolina Muchova Preview
Muchova is a 29-year-old Czech who's ranked ninth in the WTA. She deserves to be in the top 10 (and win a Grand Slam), considering she's one of the most talented athletes on tour.
She was close to winning one at Roland Garros in 2023, when she lost a very balanced final to Iga Swiatek in three sets.
She's better on grass than clay, although she's very versatile and strong regardless of the conditions. She's been characterized as the Roger Federer of the women's circuit because of her elegant game and all the weapons at her disposal.
Muchova is tall, strong and has one of the most efficient serves on tour. She's so skillful, both on the forehand and backhand side, but she gets creative on the court and surprises her opponents.
This may be one of her last chances to earn a Grand Slam, as she enters the second part of her career. But the pressure will be enormous, especially since she seems to be the favorite in both remaining matches.
Even so, Gauff is much more used to the final stages, so Muchova also has disadvantages.
Last season was relatively good for Muchova, with a semifinal appearance in Dubai and quarterfinal berths at the US Open and Tokyo.
The new season has been solid for her, with trophies in Doha and Homburg, a semifinal berth in Miami and a final in Stuttgart. There were also disappointments, though, including a failure against Jil Teichmann in the third round at Roland Garros this year.
At Wimbledon this year, Muchova has only given up one set, to a former champion, Barbora Krejcikova. Even in that duel, Muchova had some weak games and it took three sets to pull through.
In the quarterfinals, she defeated Osaka, an opponent in top form. The match was very even, but Muchova played smart, managing to close it out in straight sets.
Coco Gauff Preview
It seems like Gauff has been around forever (since she was playing on the biggest of stages since she was 15). However, she's still just 22, and she currently ranks seventh on the WTA Tour.
When she first debuted, experts predicted a bright future for her, saying that she would follow in the footsteps of the legendary Serena Williams. The additional pressure didn't help her, but it didn't stop her from earning early-career accolades.
Gauff seems very mature and mentally strong, knowing how to manage expectations like a veteran.
However, we have to put this into perspective: She still has about 15 years in which she can achieve great performances.
She currently has two Grand Slam trophies, at the US Open and Roland Garros. Some believe she should have more, but again, at this age, it's an achievement to already be a double Grand Slam champ.
Her problem is inconsistency. Although she can win any Grand Slam trophy, she has many stretches in which she performs well below her standards, making it difficult to reach the final stages.
She had huge problems with her second serve — some that haven't completely disappeared — and her forehand has often been shaky on fast courts. Clay is her best surface, and grass is her weakest.
On grass, she moves more modestly and has problems with her spin shots.
However, we see that she's adapting, as she's two steps from the trophy at the All England Club. She can repeat Swiatek's performance last year — a fairly modest athlete on grass who won this Grand Slam without problems, including a 6-0, 6-0 result in the final against Amanda Anisimova.
Coming back to Gauff, last season was excellent for her, with trophies at Roland Garros and in Wuhan and finals appearances in Rome and Madrid.
This new season has been much weaker for her, and Gauff has also dropped in the rankings, although she remains in the top 10. She earned a quarterfinal appearance at the Australian Open and reached the finals in Miami and Rome.
However, she hasn't won a trophy yet. At Roland Garros, she lost in the third round to Anastasia Potapova, and on grass, she struggled against Paula Badosa in Berlin.
At Wimbledon, her form has improved, as she passed Belinda Bencic — an excellent athlete on grass — and then Pegula, one of the main favorites to win the tournament.
Although she trailed Pegula by a set, Gauff remained very strong mentally in that match. It seems to me that she's finally adapted her game to this surface.
Muchova vs Gauff Predictions, Betting Analysis
Muchova is one of the most talented athletes on tour, and she's excellent on grass. She's coming off a trophy in Homburg — which came on grass — and she's only lost one set — to Krejcikova — at Wimbledon.
Against Osaka, she won in straight sets, as she was very effective on return.
Gauff obviously shouldn't be underestimated, although she's playing on her weakest surface. However, she eliminated Pegula, who's elite on grass and was one of the favorites to win this event.
She's lost sets in four of the five matches she's played in London. However, Gauff was extremely strong mentally, coming back from an 0-1 deficit against both Bencic and Pegula. The concern is that she had some problems on serve in both matches.
I therefore believe that Muchova will win this match and cover the game spread in the process.
