Montreal Alouettes vs. Calgary Stampeders (-3.5), 47.5

Thursday, 8 p.m. ET

Montreal's been a covering machine against Calgary, winning 10 of the past 12 against the spread in the head-to-head series.

The Stampeders have held firm at -3.5 since open. The squad's admittedly been an awful bet when laying chalk, going 6-19-1 against the spread in the past 26 outings.

Ottawa Redblacks vs. Winnipeg Blue Bombers (-9.5), 47.5

Friday, 7:30 p.m. ET

Winnipeg's the team to beat in 2022 and its status at the top of the field is fully reflected in the opening week's line.

The Blue Bombers are far and away the heaviest chalk as the spread is creeping up close to 10. No other favorite's giving more than 3.5 points.

The 5.5-point move on the total (42.5 to 47.5), meanwhile, is the largest shift of any Week 1 over/under since lines opened.

Hamilton Tiger-Cats vs. Saskatchewan Roughriders (-2.5), 47

Saturday, 6 p.m. ET

Another over that's jumped from the open is the first of two Saturday matchups between Hamilton and Saskatchewan, which went from 42.5 up to 47.

The Tiger-Cats are looking to snap an ugly skid on the road in the series as they've covered just three of the past 22 games in Saskatchewan.

Edmonton Elks vs. British Columbia Lions (-3.5), 47.5

Saturday, 9 p.m. ET

We could see some fireworks in the final game of Week 1. Edmonton-BC's total has ticked up to 48 at some shops, the highest of any on the card.

The Lions closed out the 2021 season on a six-game 'over' streak.
