The 2026 Rookie Culture Shock Index ranks 109 NFL, NBA and WNBA rookies who are guaranteed to relocate, based on six factors: distance from home, distance from college, cost of living, climate, city size, and local fan and media pressure.
Each player receives a score from 0 to 100 within their own league. A higher score does not mean a worse draft pick. It simply reflects a bigger adjustment in everyday life.
