The Tour Championship got off to a great start for our long shot.

Kyle Stanley opened with the low round of the day, firing a 6-under 64 to take a two-shot lead over a handful of players after 18 holes.

Stanley dropped to +900, but the oddsmakers still like Jordan Spieth at +400 after his round of 67 to start the tournament.

Justin Thomas, Dustin Johnson, Paul Casey, Jon Rahm and Brooks Koepka all come in at less than 10/1 after good starts to their week.

Stanley opening as the first round leader means the head-to-head bet against Adam Hadwin cashed with ease for 2.5 units. He also leads Kevin Kisner by four shots in the full tournament head to head.

Friday, I'll be backing Kisner to beat Pat Perez at -115 in the second round. Kisner played a decent round to get to 2-under, while Perez struggled outside of his hot putter. As usual, I'll be fading the putter.
