The final day of the Presidents Cup get underway on Sunday at Medinah Country Club in Chicago, Illinois.
After the International Team had a hot second day, the USA is attempting to claw back. Heading into the final day of the tournament, the International Team leads the Americans 10.5 to 7.5. Whoever gets to 15 points is declared the winner, and if it finishes in a tie, the USA will retain their title.

Patrick Cantlay -120 over Adam Scott
I went through and took production averages for all 24 golfers who teed it up this week at Medinah. I understand that some of those retrievals will be wonky because of the vast dispersion of matches we have seen between golfers. However, going with an average total over anything else was better because we shouldn't reward names that got a chance to tee it up more.
You'll notice in that display of the statistics that both Cantlay and Scott left a lot to be desired in every match. Both were a little better than middle-of-the-pack off the tee. Scott struggled with his irons but did the heavy lifting with his short game. Cantlay putted well but couldn't scramble.
I say all of that (and still head to this match for my play of the night) because of what the data shows from a long-term perspective for two golfers who did very little to separate themselves on paper over three matches each on this Presidents Cup slate.
Scott's around-the-green projections pre-event landed dead last in this field out of 24 players. His "left-miss" tendency to avoid the internal out-of-bounds off the tee placed him 21st. And while some of the ball-striking marks liked his upside, the floor always preferred him in a best-ball setting over alternate shot or singles.
I am going to take that pre-event stance I had, which priced this matchup closer to -146, and grab what I see as value here at -120. For all the struggles that everyone wants to place on the American for his inability to clutch up recently, a 4-1 team event record in singles play, including a 3&2 victory over Scott in 2022, could play nicely here against a golfer who is trying to beat the USA team for the first time in his illustrious career.
