BlackJack’s Parlay of the Day: Let’s Get Crazy With a Six-Teamer
We nailed a nice parlay on Sunday to wrap up the weekend, and in general we have been pretty successful on these exotic ventures. Today, I don't know what it is, brother; I'm feeling some kind of way. I'm feeling like taking a shot. As gamblers we all know sometimes you've got to push your chips to the middle of the table and go all in. Tonight, we are taking a stab at a big one. Let's get crazy.
PARLAY WINNER
Washington Nationals ML (-185): As much as I may not love Jeremy Hellickson, he is pitching pretty well and is head and shoulders better than Eric Lauer for the Padres, who has an 8.14 ERA. The Nats beat up on the Padres last night and I expect it to continue tonight.
Boston Red Sox ML (-230): This is the Red Sox's shot at redemption for me. They've ruined multiple parlays for me in the past month, and I'm giving them one final shot here. We have Chris Sale on the mound against Jacob Faria for the Rays, who has hardly been unhittable. The Red Sox should get the job done here comfortably.
Houston Astros ML (-265): The Astros are at home facing a Giants team fighting to keep its head above water. That will be tough to do against Gerrit Cole, who is the best pitcher in baseball at this point. Cole makes nothing easy and gives nothing away; the Astros should roll at home.
St. Louis Cardinals ML (-218): The Cardinals are better than the Royals in every facet of the game. Every single one. They are simply the better team, and Jason Hammel has been quite poor for the Royals this season. The Cardinals should have no problem taking the second game of this series.
Golden State Warriors ML (-420): Don't mess with the points here; just get the win. The Warriors are the better team, they're at home and they've seemed to have figured Houston out a bit. I don't see them dropping this game at home and heading back to Houston even.
Oakland Athletics ML (-143): This one again is about the pitching matchup, although there is also reverse line movement to support this play, as Mike Leake has surrendered 11 runs in his past three starts combined. The Athletics are a pesky team and are better than most expected them to be, and Trevor Cahill has been at least solid in the rotation for them. I'm rolling with the home team.
