Bettors Targeting Subway World Series Between Yankees and Mets

Will the 2022 World Series represent the same rivalry battle that we saw 22 years ago? The public believes there's a good chance.
The New York Yankees are the most heavily bet on team to win the World Series at BetMGM, with a 13.8% ticket percentage and 20.9% handle.
The Yankees currently sit at +450 to win the title.
Their crosstown rivals, the New York Mets, account for the second biggest handle of all MLB teams, at a 13.9% number. That's tied with the Los Angeles Dodgers, who also hold 13.9% of the handle.
While exact World Series matchups aren't widely available, you can parlay the Mets and Yankees to win their respective pennants at +1250 at FanDuel.
The Dodgers are tied with the Yankees at +450 while the Mets come in at +700.
Though the Mets account for 11.0% of the betting tickets, the Dodgers are a touch ahead of them at 12.0%.
Coming in behind the Mets are the Toronto Blue Jays, who are attracting 8.2% of the tickets at a current +900 price. They've earned 8.0% of the handle.
The Houston Astros sit at +700 to win the World Series, but they haven't gotten much public backing.
Houston has amassed 4.4% of the betting tickets with a 6.4% handle.
