With Major League Baseball entering postseason play, fans are looking ahead to the season's ultimate conclusion. The World Series Champion market is the hottest among baseball futures on Kalshi, with trade totals over $86 million.
The Tampa Bay Rays and Milwaukee Brewers claimed the top seeds in the American and National Leagues, respectively. Additionally, the Cleveland Guardians and Los Angeles Dodgers snagged first-round byes.
The Leaders: Los Angeles Dodgers (31%), Milwaukee Brewers (16%)
By far, the most popular trade on Kalshi is for the Dodgers (100-62) to defend their 2025 crown with another World Series title. The boys in blue lead the World Series market at 31% and have maintained that percentage over the past month. Despite four-time MVP Shohei Ohtani dealing with injuries and noticeable regression this season — 57 fewer runs in only 20 fewer games — the Dodgers have the most quality starts in baseball (83).
After the Dodgers, fans have set their sights on the Brewers (103-60) to win it all for the first time (16%). Perhaps it should be surprising that the odds aren't higher in this case. Milwaukee led MLB in wins this year and dominated a strong NL Central division. Starting pitcher Jacob Misiorowski is favored to grab the NL Cy Young Award after leading the league in ERA (1.80) and strikeouts (252). Milwaukee also leads baseball in batting average (.258) and hits (1422).
Nonetheless, Kalshi users are picking the Dodgers to win it all at twice the rate of the Brewers.
The Chasers: Tampa Bay Rays (10%), New York Yankees (8.7%)
While the two most traded squads to win the World Series are in the National League, the American League houses the next three.
The Rays (98-64) have never won a World Series, despite making it to the big dance in 2008 and 2020. Still, 10% of traders are picking Tampa Bay to hoist the trophy. Chandler Simpson (.306 AVG), Yandy Diaz (180 hits), Junior Caminero (42 home runs), and Jonathan Aranda (92 RBI) all qualified for the batting title in 2026.
Rounding out the four most-picked teams are the Yankees (93-68) at 8.7%. The Bronx Bombers lead MLB in ERA (3.24), largely due to Cam Schlittler's 1.95 ERA and 239 Ks, which rank second and fourth in the league, respectively. New York sports 11 players with 10 or more home runs, led by designated hitter Ben Rice's 41.
