Rockies vs Blue Jays Preview
This game triggered one of our Action PRO betting systems, powered by Evan Abrams.
This system backs teams in the heart of the MLB season (games 6–158) that are heating up while facing opponents in clear decline.
It isolates situations where:
- The opponent has one of the worst win rates in baseball (1–33%)
- The opponent is on a losing streak
- The team being backed is coming off a win
- The ML indicates moderate-to-heavy favoritism (-375 to -140)
By combining short-term momentum with long-term weakness, this system exploits matchups where strong teams are undervalued against clearly struggling opponents.

Rockies vs Blue Jays Picks
Obviously, the Rockies are a struggling opponent, while the Blue Jays are an up-and-coming team after last season's World Series run — and they're off to a red-hot 4-1 start this season.
I'm all in on Kevin Gausman this year. The fastball-splitter combination looked excellent in his first outing, where he generated 17 Whiffs (10 on the splitter, seven on the four-seam) against a tough Oakland lineup, ultimately throwing six one-run innings with 11 strikeouts. He should dominate the lowly Rockies at home on Wednesday.
I'm not comfortable laying -300 on the ML, but I need to find a way to back Gausman, so I'll likely throw the Jays in some sort of parlay.
Maybe I'll find another bet that Zerillo likes and pair the two.
The Phillies with Cristopher Sanchez — another pitcher I'm extremely high on — seems like a good match.
Pick: Blue Jays ML (-300 as parlay piece)
